The petition claims that Sartaaj’s upcoming concert at Guru Nanak Stadium on November 10 will disrupt the daily practice and exercise of sportsmen who use the stadium.

Malli argues that the stadium, built with government funds, should not be used for commercial purposes, and that the singer has been wrongly given access. The petition seeks a permanent injunction to restrain the use of the ground for any such shows.

The court has made Sartaaj, his company Firdaus Productions, and various government officials, including Chief Secretary Punjab Government, Director Sports Punjab, District Sports Officer, DC and SSP Kapurthala, Municipal Commissioner Kapurthala, and SP Traffic Kapurthala, parties to the case.

The complainant, who visits the stadium daily for practice, exercise, and sports, highlights that many players rely on the hockey ground and that there are no alternative grounds in Kapurthala. He believes that the concert will pose significant problems for sportsmen and disrupt their daily practice.

Sartaaj has been involved in controversies before, including being sued for stealing lyrics and facing criticism for improper pronunciation of Zafarnama in one of his songs. However, in this case, the focus is on the potential disruption caused by his concert to the sports community.
