Kapurthala student clinches gold in taekwondo championship

Competing in the 49-kg weight category, she brought pride and recognition to both her institution and her district.
Her victory has also secured her selection for the prestigious All-India Inter-University Championship, marking a milestone in her sporting journey. Expressing happiness, Lovleen credited her success to the disciplined environment of her institution, the guidance and support of her teachers, and encouragement of her parents.
Dr Kulwinder Kaur, officiating principal of the college, congratulated the BA third-semester student for her performance. She emphasised that sports play a crucial role in shaping students’ physical and mental well-being and highlighted the college’s commitment to encouraging participation in diverse activities beyond academics. Dr Kaur also extended congratulations to Mukti, Head of the Physical Education Department, acknowledging the department’s efforts in nurturing sporting talent among students.
