According to the FIR, the incident occurred when Harjeet was at his home preparing to take his vehicle out for refuelling. He alleged that Baljot Singh struck the driver’s side window of his car with force, shattering the glass. When the victim stepped outside to question the act, the confrontation turned violent.

In his statement, Harjeet Singh claimed that Parmit Singh grabbed him by the arms while Baljot Singh attacked him with a heavy iron bangle, striking his head and face. Manpreet allegedly joined in, wielding an iron rod and delivering further blows on his head. Rajesh Saini is accused of pushing and manhandling the complainant, leaving him unconscious on the ground.

The victim was rushed to hospital by his brother Jarnail Singh and wife Kamaljit Kaur, where doctors later issued a medico-legal report confirming the injuries. Harjeet Singh further alleged that the accused had been creating disturbances outside his residence on earlier occasions, leading to disputes that were even reported to the village panchayat. The assault, he claimed, was the continuation of that simmering hostility.
