In view of the upcoming 79th Independence Day celebrations and the onset of the festive season, the ADGP also instructed the police to maintain robust security arrangements. This includes increasing checkpoints, search operations and patrolling to ensure citizens can celebrate without fear, while maintaining law and order as the top priority.
