A two-day lecture series on ‘Law and Society’ recently began at University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre (PUSSGRC), Hoshiarpur.

Professor Navneet Arora from UILS, Panjab University, Chandigarh, is the resource person at the event.

Dr Sunaina, Coordinator (Law) and Convenor, and Dr Deep Chand, Co-convenor, welcomed the resource person by presenting him a sapling to signify a sustainable future and a commitment to preserve the planet.

The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Prof Navneet delivered a talk on ‘’Law in our lives”.

She highlighted the relationship between law and society, stating that it was dynamic and reciprocal — deeply intertwined with cultural, historical, religious and social dimensions.
