Jalandhar: Joint Commissioner (MC) Inayat said under the Punjab Municipal Act, all business establishments within municipal jurisdiction, including manufacturers, retailes, wholesalers, service units, factories, workshops, tent houses, godowns, trading houses, repair works etc., will have to obtain a licence from the MC under Section 342/343(1) of the Punjab Municipal Act, 1976. She said the business establishments who have not obtained the licence could face sealing and other actions. She said the applicant could download their trade licence form from the department’s website www.mcjalandhar.in and submit it with their requisite documents at the licence branch of MCJ or at the nearest CFCs. Rs6 crore for road work

Garhshankar (Hoshiarpur): The PWD released Rs6 crore for the completion of the road between Banga and Garhshankar. This was disclosed through an official a communication by the department concerned to the Anandpur Sahib MP Manish Tewari. Tewari said: “With this, the long pending demand of the residents of the area has been met. Besides, it will provide immense relief for travellers coming to and from Chandigarh to different parts of the city towards Doaba and Majha region.” OC
