Lok Sewa Dal holds 72nd free of cost blood sugar testing camp in Phagwara

Patients encouraged to adopt morning and evening walks, yoga in their daily routines

Continuing its nearly five-decade-long tradition of dedicated social service, the Lok Sewa Dal organised its 72nd free of cost blood sugar testing camp under the leadership of President Nirvair Singh Nanda. The camp was held at Uttam Diagnostic Lab, near the Blood Bank in Guru Hargobind Nagar, Phagwara.

Conducted from 8.00 am to 12 noon, the camp was supervised by Vipin Jain with the support of the Dhanju family. Around two dozen diabetes patients availed themselves of the free testing service, with many appreciating the organisation’s ongoing commitment to public health awareness.

Speaking on the occasion, Vipin Jain highlighted that while diabetes is increasingly common, it can be effectively managed through disciplined lifestyle changes. He encouraged patients to adopt morning and evening walks, yoga and pranayama in their daily routines, along with adhering to prescribed medications.

President Nirvair Singh Nanda shared that such free medical camps are held on the first Sunday of every month, providing regular and accessible health benefits to numerous residents in the area. Prominent attendees at the camp included Chairman Pawan Kumar Kalra, Secretary Davinder Singh, Deepak Gupta, Sanjeev Lamba and members of the medical staff.
