Lt Gen Nav K Khanduri visits Vajra Corps in Jalandhar
Jalandhar, July 14
Lieutenant General Nav K Khanduri, Army Commander, Western Command, visited Jalandhar Military Station on Thursday.
He was briefed on operational issues at Vajra Corps Headquarters by Lt Gen Devendra Sharma, General Officer Commanding, Vajra Corps. Army commander inspected various military equipment and weapon systems aimed towards enhancing the operational efficiency of the formation.
The Army Commander visited the newly created Palliative Care Centre at Military Hospital here. He complimented the Vajra Corps for creating a specialist facility to provide the best health care for terminally-ill patients. The Army Commander also felicitated the military personnel who have excelled in various fields in an Investiture Ceremony organised at the Vajra Corps headquarters.
He expressed his satisfaction on high level of operational preparedness and excellent training standards of the formation. He commended the Vajra Warriors for their high morale and exhorted them to continue working for the safety and security of the nation.
Vijaya Khanduri, regional president, AWWA, Western Command, accompanied by Rani Sharma, zonal president, AWWA, interacted with the families and children in the station. Vijaya Khanduri exhorted the AWWA members to fulfill their social obligation through social empowerment and skill development of spouses and dependents. The regional president also witnessed the Ethics Bowl Competition conducted at Army Public School and appreciated the zeal displayed by the children.
