Gursharan Singh Prince, the main accused in the fatal hit-and-run case of former MP Mohinder Singh Kaypee's son Richie Kaypee, has been arrested by the city police on Tuesday.
Prince had been on the run since the accident occurred on September 13 near Mata Rani Chowk in Model Town. He was driving a car, which was one of the four cars that got involved in the accident that day. Prince was going by the car along with his wife and daughter when the accident had occurred.
His two brothers-in-law — Taranjit Singh of Ludhiana and Gurpreet Singh of Jalandhar — who had reportedly harboured the accused and helped him in escaping had been arrested days after the accident. The Model Town police have got his two-day remand from the court.
