Major General Manjit Singh Mokha, Additional Director General, NCC, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal and Chandigarh headquarters, conducted an annual administrative inspection at NCC Group (Headquarters).

He met officials of the Army and the Air Force. He was given the guard of honour by girl cadets. Brig Ajay Tiwari, Group Commander, briefed Major General Manjit Singh about the annual report, various competitions and activities of the NCC. Group Commander and other officers were directed by Maj Gen Manjit Singh to take more efforts to attract youth to NCC. Maj Gen Manjit Singh also visited Lovely Professional University. He interacted with cadets at the combined annual training camp held at 1 Air Squadron.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
