Make Dhogri road motorable before rains: Jalandhar DC

To ensure uninterrupted traffic flow and prevent inconvenience during the upcoming monsoon season at Dhogri Road, Deputy Commissioner Dr Himanshu Aggarwal has directed the Water Supply and Sewerage Board, PWD to make Dhogri road motorable before the rains. The road was dug to lay a water supply pipeline under surface water project.

The directive aims to particularly facilitate local industries, which rely heavily on smooth connectivity.

Following these instructions, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Shayri Malhotra on Thursday visited the site and held detailed discussions with officials and industry representatives. She reassured the industrial units that the district administration was committed to resolving their issues, especially related to traffic movement during the rainy season.

The SDM further said the Deputy Commissioner has emphasised making Dhogri road motorable before the onset of monsoon.

She also noted that the DC has instructed the departments concerned to speed up the pace of this project so that Dhogri road can be made operational before the rains.

Further, the district administrative has also asked the officials to initiate the process of laying bitumen at alternative canal road which is widely used by people.
