Man arrested for sacrilege in Bhoolpur village

A case of sacrilege of the Guru Granth Sahib has come to fore in Bhoolpur village of Tanda area here. The police have arrested the suspect and registered a case against him. The suspect was produced in a court, which sent him to two-day police remand.
After receiving a complaint of sacrilege by tampering with the sacred Ang of the Guru Granth Sahib in the gurudwara at Bhoolpur village, the police reached the spot and arrested the suspect.
According to information, 14 Angs of the holy Swaroop of Guru Granth Sahib of Beed Sahib in the gurudwara were found damaged. When the gurdwara committee investigated at its own level, it came to light that Daler Singh, a resident of village Chauhana, had carried out the incident during the Akhand Path between December 4 and 6. Daler was held and the police informed about the matter.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, Tanda DSP Kulwant Singh and SHO Onkar Singh Brar reached the spot and took the suspect into custody.
It has been learnt that the suspect used to live in the village and conduct Path (recitation). After receiving complaints about his work, villagers refused to let him do so due to which he was living in Chauhana village. He came to the village on the day of the incident and committed the act allegedly due to enmity with the villagers.
