The police set up a trap and apprehended the suspect. A search led to the recovery of a .32 bore illegal pistol, along with five rounds and one used round of the same caliber.

An FIR has been registered under Sections 25(1)(B), 54, and 59 of the Arms Act at Police Station Division Number 5.

Officials also confirmed that the accused already has three prior cases against him. "Further investigations are underway and additional details will be shared as the inquiry progresses", they added.
