Man booked for fraud

A case has been registered against a man for allegedly defrauding a woman, and committing criminal breach of trust.

According to the police, complainant Harjit Kaur, wife of Lakhveer Singh and resident of Bhullar, approached the authorities accusing one Amandeep Singh of deceiving her, causing her financial and personal loss.

The complaint was initially submitted along with an inquiry report. After examining the report and preliminary findings, the police proceeded to register a case against the accused.

Officials said further investigation was underway. Authorities are expected to record statements of additional witnesses, and review evidence to determine the extent of wrongful gain and loss.
