A case has been registered against three individuals, including a man who allegedly remarried without disclosing his existing marriage and using cast slurs against the complainant.

An FIR was filed at the Kapurthala police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by Kamaljeet Kaur, wife of Munish Bawa, a resident of Begowal.

In her statement to the police, Kamaljeet alleged that Munish Bawa, despite being married, deceitfully married her without revealing his marital status. She further accused Munish, his father Ashwani Kumar and his mother Kusum Bawa of using derogatory remarks related to her caste. Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case against Munish Bawa, Ashwani Kumar and Kusum Bawa, all residents of Begowal.An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
