Man caught stealing money from shop, tied to pole, beaten up

A person was allegedly caught by a shop owner at Ladowali road. He was first tied to a pole and then beaten up by the locals. The thief was later handed over to the police.

The incident occurred late last night at a footwear shop on Ladowali road when its owner Ram Lal, had gone to the adjoining fastfood shop. In the meantime, a man entered his shop and broke open the cash drawer.

He was seen by a nearby shop owner, who immediately alerted Ram Lal and they all caught him.

The passersby along with shop owners tied him to a pole and beat him up.

He was later handed over to the Navi Baradari police team, which arrived at the scene.

The police have arrested him and further proceedings are underway.
