The Dasuya police arrested an accused during a naka near Garna Sahib and recovered a 12 bore pistol and a cartridge from him. The accused has been identified as Tejveer Singh alias Teji, a resident of Banta Singh Colony. A case has been registered against him under the Arms Act.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
