Manufacturers take up infra issues with PSPCL
Jalandhar: The Jalandhar Autoparts Manufacturers Association met Chief Engineer, PSPCL, Jalandhar, on Thursday and apprised him of various problems that the industry has been witnessing. A memorandum was also handed over to the Chief Engineer. The memorandum reads, ‘In the absence of focal points, the industry has been rapidly coming up in the rural belt, within Industrial zones such as Dhogri, Kangniwal, Jandu Singha, Dhadha, Raipur, and Rasoolpur. Our members have raised a serious concern as these areas have been suffering from poor industrial infrastructure in terms of roads and electricity.” The members said generally, the supply gets disrupted during storms, but here the issue is that, be it any minor fault, it takes several hours to bring the system online. “There is a tremendous shortage of manpower in these areas and as well as the other areas within the MC limits,” they said. — TNS
