In response to the rising water level in the Beas River and the resulting situation in the low-lying Mand areas of Bhulath, the district administration has deployed medical teams to ensure essential healthcare for residents. The teams, stationed at a gurdwara sahib in Talwandi Kuka, are providing medicines and medical assistance as required.

Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal said the administration was fully committed to supporting people during this time and had mobilised specialised medical teams under the supervision of expert doctors. He urged residents not to panic and to reach out for help whenever needed through the district-level control room at 01822-231990.

In parallel, under the leadership of Agriculture Officer Dr Balkar Singh, the administration also distributed green fodder and silage for livestock on Friday. Veterinary teams have been deployed to safeguard animal health, administering preventive vaccinations, particularly against haemorrhagic septicaemia (HS) to protect cattle.

The district administration emphasised that both human and animal welfare remain top priorities as relief measures continue across the affected regions.
