Chairman of Punjab Minorities Commission, Abdul Bari Salmani, visited Kapurthala Central Jail on the occasion of Ramzan. During his visit, he met Muslim inmates and encouraged them to fast. Salmani expressed satisfaction over the jail administration’s arrangements for safeguarding the religious rights of inmates. He highlighted that prisoners were being provided with food for ‘Sehri’ and ‘Iftar’ and given special facilities to offer prayers five times a day.
