Arora is lodged in Nabha jail. He was represented by his lawyer Darshan Singh Dayal, who said he will now move Punjab and Haryana High Court for his bail. Arguments in the case were also presented against MLA Arora by lawyer Gurvinder Arora for Dr Mukesh Joshi of Joshi Hospital here. Seeking dismissal of the bail, Dr Joshi had alleged that the MLA had misused his position and sought Rs 10 lakh from him, threatening him of dire consequences.

Meanwhile, MLA Arora is learnt to have taken medical grounds by reporting that he was suffering from gall bladder stone and benign hypertrophy prostrate. Lawyer Gurvinder Arora had argued that these conditions pre-existed and that he was asymptomatic, and hence not entitled to bail.
