The construction of the Firni road from village Bham-Jallowal to Bham-Saidpur Road is progressing rapidly, with work being carried out using cement-concrete. MLA Dr Ishank Kumar inspected the site and reviewed the pace and quality of the ongoing project.

Dr Ishank stated that the road is being built 18 feet wide, with an estimated cost of Rs 1.15 crore. He emphasised that the use of cement-concrete will ensure long-term durability and provide significant relief to residents, especially during the rainy season.

He noted that the poor condition of the road had long been a concern and was well within his knowledge. The route also served as a drainage path for rainwater, which led to frequent damage. Although initial approval was granted for a standard road, Dr Ishank made efforts to secure permission for a cement-concrete upgrade and succeeded.

He added that this was an old demand of the villagers, which is now being fulfilled. As a result of these efforts, the community is set to benefit from a permanent solution to the recurring issues.
