The government, along with the Nakodar MLA, has been pushing to route the pipeline through village Maosahib, a site of historic significance linked to Mata Ganga, wife of Guru Arjun Dev Ji.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Chaudhary assured residents that he will not allow the pipeline to pass through the historic village. He said he will raise the issue at all levels—including the Vidhan Sabha and with the Chief Minister—to ensure that public sentiments are fully respected.
