MLA Raman Arora assures regularisation, salary release for mid-day meal employees

Members of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Mid-Day Meal Office Employees Union met with Jalandhar Central MLA Raman Arora to discuss their demands. The MLA assured them their concerns would be addressed promptly.

Union leaders presented the problems faced by the employees. The MLA Arora assured them the government would soon take steps to regularise their positions.

The leaders also raised the problem of delayed salaries, which had been cut for the past two months by the Education Secretary. This had led to financial hardship for the employees. In response, MLA Arora contacted the Education Secretary and requested the immediate release of their salaries. The Education Secretary assured them the funds would be released by Monday.

The union members expressed optimism that a sub-committee meeting scheduled for February 27 would lead to the resolution of many other pending problems.
