They said the Indian hockey team defeated Pakistan 5-3, thanks to the five goals scored by Punjab players in the final.

They said Punjab players Arajit Singh Hundal, Dilraj Singh, Arshdeep Singh, Gurjot Singh, Manmeet Singh, Bikramjit Singh and Princedeep Singh were members of this Indian junior team. Out of the goals scored by the Indian team in this tournament, 95 per cent of the goals were scored by Punjabi players. In the final match also, Arajit Singh Hundal was declared the best player, he had scored a hat-trick in the final.
