In a dramatic turn of events, two mobile phone snatchers were apprehended and physically restrained by local residents after they targeted a woman in Baldev Nagar on Saturday morning.

Eyewitnesses said the woman was walking through Baldev Nagar when two bike-borne men snatched her mobile phone and attempted to flee. The woman’s cries for help drew the attention of nearby residents, who quickly intercepted the snatchers. The suspects were restrained by tying them to an electricity pole and subjected to a severe beating. After receiving information through control room, the Rama Mandi police arrived on the spot and took the suspects into custody. Preliminary probe revealed that one of the suspects, identified as Malkhan, was a Uttar Pradesh native.
