A moving car (HR-07-5702) was reduced to ashes when it caught fire accidently, near Rupewal bus stand, on Friday evening. Investigating officer Sanjivan Singh rushed to the spot. Car driver Sukhwindar Singh, a resident of Mor Kassuwala village in Ferozpur, along with local residents, tried to douse the fire.

He said the inquiries revealed that the ill-fated car accidently caught fire and was burnt badly. Fire tenders reached the spot and doused the fire. Driver, his mother and sister were travelling in car, who managed to come out of it and escaped unhurt. — OC
