Flight connectivity from Adampur Civil Airport is set to expand further, with a new service linking the region directly to Mumbai from July 2. While the Hindon-Nanded circuit is already operational, this new route is expected to offer major relief and convenience to residents and traders across the Doaba region.

Jalandhar MP and former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi announced that the first direct flight from Adampur to Mumbai will take off this Wednesday. Channi said he had consistently worked to enhance air connectivity from Adampur Airport and had also raised the issue in the Lok Sabha.

He shared that he personally met with Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, urging him to focus on expanding flight services from Adampur. “After my meeting, the Adampur to Mumbai flight was approved,” he said.
