MP Raj Kumar Chabbewal today laid the foundation stone for various road projects in Bholath, which will connect various villages and towns at a cost of Rs 20.65 crore. AAP leader Harsimran Singh and SDM Devi Goel were accompanying the MP.
Speaking during the foundation stone-laying ceremony, the MP said, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the government is laying a special attention to the development of rural areas. He said along with constructing new roads in the constituency, the repair work of existing roads would also be completed soon.
The roads for which the foundation stones were laid today included a road from Begowal to Kartarpur via Bholath, with a length of 8.90 km, which will be completed at a cost of Rs 4.74 crore and the road from Bholath to Lamme village via Naddali Bassi Jaid, having a length of 13.87 km, which will be constructed with a cost of Rs. 8.69 crore.
Besides, the road from Bholath to Maksudpur via Kooka and Raipur Peer Bakhsh Wala, with a length of 7.50 km will also be constructed with Rs 3.81 crore. The road from Tandi Aulakh to Boparai village, with a length of 6.75 km, will be completed at a cost of Rs 3.41 crore. He also directed officials to monitor the road work to ensure these projects are completed on a given time frame.
