As per reports, tensions escalated on Sunday as the family of Varun, the victim in the Bhargav Camp murder case, staged a protest at Sri Guru Ravidas Chowk, expressing outrage over the police failure to arrest all accused in the case. The aggrieved family members blocked the Jalandhar-Nakodar highway, demanding swift action and justice.

On the day of the incident, Varun, along with his cousins Lokesh and Vishal, was walking through the streets in the locality when they were reportedly attacked by individuals armed with sharp-edged weapons.

Within a few hours, the police had arrested Dhruv Kumar (18) and Sunil Kumar (25), both residents of the Bhargo Camp locality. The third accused is still on the run.

The family members said it was not acceptable that the main accused was still on the run. According to the reports, the family members had given an ultimatum to the police that if the accused will not be arrested, they will hold dharna.
