National Pulse Polio Round: Over 67K children given drops on Day 2
Jalandhar, March 4
Teams of the Health Department today went door to door to administer polio drops to children in the age group of 0-5 years on Day 2 of the three-day National Pulse Polio Round.
Raman Sharma, Deputy Director, Health and Family Welfare Department, Punjab, instructed the teams that to ensure that no child was left out without polio drops. SMO Dr Gurmeet Lal and SMO Dr Raman Gupta also accompanied him.
Jalandhar Civil Surgeon Jagdeep Chawla said polio drops were administered to 67,647 children on the second day of the campaign. The drops were given to 40,642 children in rural areas and 27,005 in urban areas. The teams covered a total of 3,04,242 houses across the district.
