Nawanshahr, April 19
In order to impart specialised training to the farmers and youth about various aspects of dairy profession, the Dairy Development Department will start a two-week dairy farming course from April 25 in Nawanshahr.
Dairy Development Officer Harwinder Singh said a detailed training programme has been chalked out on different topics ranging from breed improvement, value addition of milk, nutrition/feeding management, care and maintenance of milch animals etc. He said the classes would be held at Dairy Training and Extension Centre, Phagwara.
Singh added that the youth, who are willing to join the course, can contact the office of Dairy Development Department, Veterinary Polyclinic, Banga road, Mahalo (Nawanshahr) and can also seek more information from the department’s contact number 01823225050. He said April 22 was the last date of application applying for the course.
He said experts in the field of dairying from the department would share their experience with young aspirants desirous of opting dairy profession. Films related to the dairy profession would also be shown to the selected candidates, he added.
