Hoshiarpur, January 16
The 10-day joint annual training camp of 12 Punjab Battalion, NCC, concluded recently under the leadership of Camp Commandant and Commanding Officer Colonel HPS Shergill. The Deputy Camp Commandant was Colonel JS Mann. As many as 280 cadets of the battalion participated in the camp which included 125 SD-SW (Senior Division-Senior Wing) and 155 JD-JW (Junior Division-Junior Wing) cadets.
Group Commander of Jalandhar NCC Group Brigadier Ajay Tiwari, Sena Medal recipient, inspected the camp. He also interacted with the cadets and took stock of the training being given to them. Cadets took part in various activities like drill, firing, cultural activities, physical fitness, training in assembling and dismantling of weapons. The best performing students were honoured by the Camp Commandant.
At the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC), cadets were given information about joining the Army. Cadets were informed about various categories and conditions of joining the Army. Training in disaster management was also given at the camp.
