NDRF conducts mock exercise at LPG bottling plant in Nasrala.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) today conducted a mock exercise at the Nasrala LPG bottling plant in collaboration with the district administration.

Teams of all supporting departments including the NDRF, police, fire brigade and ambulance were deployed on the occasion. During this, a mock exercise related to gas leakage was conducted in the bottling plant. Giving information, Assistant Commandant of NDRF Pankaj Sharma and Inspector Neeraj Kumar said that before the mock exercise, orientation and coordination-cum-table top exercise was done with the departments.

He said that a CRBN (Chemical, Radiological, Biological and Nuclear) mock exercise has been organised to promote awareness and coordination, especially in the context of industrial security.

He said that the main objective of the exercise was to strengthen coordination between various government and industrial departments, to promote their preparedness to deal with emergency situations and to make the public aware of potential dangers. He thanked the district administration and Nasrala bottling plant management for the success of mock exercise.
