A man, who opened fire on his uncle along with his brother-in-law and two others, over an old enmity, has been booked by the Chabbewal police. The police have registered a case against four accused. The police have also recovered four cartridges from the scene.

SHO of Chabbewal police station Prabhjot Kaur said Sukhwant Singh, a resident of village Bohan, told in his complaint that he was coming from his fields to his house in a car in the morning. When he reached near his house, his nephew Gurpreet Singh, alias Gopi, opened fire on him, but one of the bullets hit the car, while the victim was not hit by any of the bullets.

According to the complainant, his brother-in-law and two other accomplices were also present with the accused at the time of the incident. Sukhwant Singh alleged that even before this, the accused had been threatening him by showing him a pistol. According to the police station chief, the police reached the spot as soon as the information about the incident was received and four spent cartridges were recovered during the investigation. A case has been registered against the four accused in this regard and further action was being taken.
