The Disabled Person Welfare Society, Hoshiarpur, convened a meeting led by president Sandeep Sharma, Cashier Kamal and General Secretary Raj Kumar, deciding to organise a T-20 cricket tournament for the blind in the near future. The move received unanimous support.
Additionally, the society resolved to increase membership opportunities for the physically-abled individuals, with a provision that 40 per cent of the members would be from this category. This is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
The meeting also reviewed the recently-held Teachers’ Day programme, which was widely appreciated by the attendees. Special gratitude was extended to guest speaker Dr Nirmala, Prof Pooja Vashisht and Principal Deshvir Sharma.
Rajdeep Singh and Pawan Kumar were appointed as executive members.
