NIT, NITTR ink pact to improve quality of technical education

Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTR), Chandigarh, in the presence of Director, NIT, Prof Lalit Kumar Awasthi, and Director, NITTR, Prof SS Patnaik.
Both the institutes agreed to work jointly to improve the quality of technical education by sharing the expertise and infrastructure mainly for training, research and offering customised courses as per demands of the student.
“The MoU will facilitate joint programmes in cutting edge and demand driven fields for industry/corporate personnel in mutually agreed areas leading to award of joint certification/ PG diploma/degrees, submit joint proposals to various funding agencies for collaborative research, share laboratory facilities for joint programmes, developing digital resources in emerging areas, launch online programmes leading to certification/ degrees, conduct national and international conferences jointly in emerging areas, etc.”, said Prof Lalit Kumar Awasthi.
Dean faculty Prof R K Garg, dean student Prof Anish Sachdeva, dean planning BS Saini, dean academics Prof A Mukhopadhayay, registrar Dr SK Mishra and associate dean research and consultancy Dr PramodKumar were present.
