In a significant crackdown, the police have arrested Jaspinder Singh, a resident of Badshapur, Kapurthala, for possessing narcotics.

The police said during a routine checking at Gurdwara Sangsar, the suspect was seen carrying a transparent pouch containing suspicious material in his jacket pocket. Upon inspection, the pouch 170 grams of opium was found in the pouch, which was immediately seized by officials concerned. The accused was taken into custody. A case under the NDPS Act was registered against the accused.
