Over 400 pedal for drug-free society
Jalandhar, October 23
The AGI Sports Institute of India, a subsidiary of Agi Infra Ltd, organised a cyclothon here today. It aimed at fostering love for sports among young individuals and promoting clean and drug-free society.
The cyclothon, which covered a distance of approximately 8 kms, witnessed participation from over 400 cyclists from Jalandhar and the surrounding areas.
Participants were given certificates and medals. The event commenced with playing of the National Anthem, followed by flag off by Sukhdev Singh, MD of Agi Infra Ltd.
Before the race, a warm-up session, guided by yoga master Vikas Mahajan, who himself boasts a national-level table tennis background, was held. Esteemed amateur cyclists, including Major General (retd) Arun Khanna, Nitish Chada, Balraj Sahni, Baljit Singh Mahajan and K Pannu, were honoured on the occasion.
