Over 500 staffers honoured at LPU annual conference
Lovely Professional University (LPU) marked a monumental milestone of 23 years with its staff and faculty to celebrate the three-day annual conference, ‘Sanidhya 2024; Share the Vision’, gathering more than 5,500 staff members to reflect on their collective journey.
During the grand event, LPU honoured over 570 employees with long-service awards, recognising those who have dedicated up to 20 years of service to the institution. Among those honoured was Dr Monica Gulati, Senior Executive Dean, and Navdeep Singh, Executive Dean who celebrated two decades of outstanding contribution.
In the keynote address, Chancellor Dr Ashok Kumar Mittal, emphasised upon the university’s commitment to innovation and revolutionary education. He discussed the role of AI in education, noting, “AI is not a threat to jobs, it’s an opportunity for growth”, and urged the staff to embrace AI, positioning LPU as a potential leader in AI-powered education worldwide.
Dr Mittal also launched a new scholarship programme, “Sikshak Saman Anudhan”, aimed at empowering educators by offering financial support for their professional growth and development.
This year’s “Sanidhya” celebrations also featured a unique and impactful initiative, “Staff Carnival”, which focused on SDGs.
