Aimed at promoting cleanliness and environmental awareness, Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Phagwara, in collaboration with the Phagwara Environment Association, organised a grand cleanliness rally under the leadership of president Harjinder Gogna and supervised by Project Directors Naresh Kohli and Nikhil Gupta. The rally, which commenced from Arya Model Senior Secondary School, was flagged off by SHO City Amandeep Nahar.
Addressing the participants, Nahar emphasised the need for cleanliness not just in public spaces but across social, religious and political dimensions, as they play a crucial role in building a healthy society.
School principal Neelam Pasricha and Manager Surinder Chopra cautioned about the looming threats posed by resource depletion and environmental pollution, urging collective action to safeguard the future. Association secretary Malkiat Singh Raghbotra distributed pamphlets along the rally route, appealing for public support in maintaining environmental cleanliness.
