The police have carried out a series of coordinated operations leading to significant seizures of narcotics in different parts of Kapurthala.
Acting on intelligence, the police intercepted suspects travelling from Subhanpur to Buta, Badasahpur and Injampur. The raids were conducted near Gurudwara Satsar Sahib, where officers, in collaboration with informers, identified and apprehended the individuals involved.
During the operations, the police recovered 60 intoxicating tablets from one group of suspects, including Rivinder Singh and Surjeet Singh. The seizure was documented under the NDPS Act.
In a separate operation, Kuldip Singh was apprehended at Kapurthala. Officers seized 5 gram of heroin from the suspect, marking a significant disruption to the local drug supply chain. The case was registered and processed under the NDPS Act.
Meanwhile, in village Fattudhinga, another raid led by ASI Dilbag Singh resulted in the recovery of 62 intoxicating tablets from suspect Gobinda. and a case was registered under the NDPS Act for further investigation.
