The Phagwara police have arrested a drug smuggler identified as Manish of Kapurthala and recovered 25 gm of heroin from his possession on Tuesday night.

The accused was nabbed at a check point near Bhularai village when he was coming in a car.

The police have registered a case under the NDPS Act and impounded the car. In another case, the police arrested some drugs peddler identified as Karan of the Jagh Colony in Phagwara and recovered 10 gm of heroin from his possession. The accused was arrested at a naka laid near Gaunspur village, the police said.
