Phagwara Bar Association celebrates Lohri
The Phagwara Bar Association celebrated the festival of Lohri with enthusiasm and traditional fervour at the Bar Complex under the leadership of its president, Advocate Karnjot Singh Jhikka, and general secretary, Dhandeep Kaur.
The event was graced by the presence of Surekha Dadwal, Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Phagwara, and Vijay Singh Dadwal, Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC), who extended their greetings to all lawyers and court staff on the auspicious occasion.
The highlight of the celebration was the lighting of the Lohri bonfire, accompanied by the distribution of traditional treats such as peanuts and rewari. Participants exchanged warm wishes, embracing the spirit of unity and cultural pride. Advocate Dhandeep Kaur emphasised the significance of Lohri as an integral part of Punjabi heritage, connecting the community through stories of goodwill and inspiration to help those in need.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, young advocates sang traditional Lohri songs, creating a lively ambience.
