Phagwara: The Bilga police have arrested a woman drug peddler on the charge of selling intoxicant injections. Investigating officer (IO) Anwar Masih said 11 intoxicant injections (loose) were recovered from the possession of the suspect, identified as Kamaljit Kaur, alias Toti, a resident of Sangowal village. The IO said a case under Sections 22(b), 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act was registered against the suspect. oc
Two arrested for smuggling liquor
Nakodar: The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested two villagers on the charge of smuggling liquor. Investigating Officer (IO) Janak Raj said four cartons of liquor were seized from the possession of the suspects, identified as Lovpreet, alias Vadali, and Sukhdeep, alias Happy, both residents of Malrri village. A case under Sections 61, 1 and 14 of the Punjab Excise Act was registered against the duo who were released on bail. oc
