Police conduct night domination operation in Jalandhar division

The police is fully alert to stop attacks upon police establishments and is taking all preventive measures in this regard including putting up tall green net around the boundary walls of the police stations.

This was stated by DIG, Jalandhar, Naveen Singla in Phagwara during night domination operation in the entire Jalandhar division on the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday. SSP, Kapurthala, Gaurav Toora, SSP, Jalandhar (Rural), Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh and SSP, Hoshiarpur, Surinder Lamba accompanied DIG Singla during the entire night domination operation. Superintendent of Police Rupinder Kaur Bhatti remained present in the operation conducted in Phagwara after midnight.

The DIG said that double sentry posts will also be constructed and elaborate security arrangements were being made in all 46 police stations in the range.

DIG Singla, in the presence of all three SSPs and Phagwara SP Bhatti, said that security has been tightened at all inter-district and inter-state nakas to nab the anti-social elements. DIG Singla said that 1,000 cops were deployed in this night domination operation and 100 patrolling parties were deputed and 100 check-points set up.

A special nakabandi was held by the police at Phagwara bypass near Barista which was checked by DIG Singla along with SSP, Kapurthala, Gaurav Toora.

The police personnel were briefed on taking preventive actions against the anti-social elements. The police force was motivated to perform their duties with utmost dedication and deliver services to the public.
