Under the supervision of DSP Nakodar, Sukhpal Singh, a special investigation team led by Baljinder Singh, SHO, Sadar Nakodar, was constituted.

Using technical expertise and intelligence inputs, the team identified and apprehended the accused within days. The preliminary investigation revealed that Neeru Bala and Harpreet Singh, who worked together at D-Mart, Jalandhar, had developed illicit relationship.
