The practical examination for NCC ‘C’ certificate was held at Lyallpur Khalsa College on Saturday. The exam, conducted under the aegis of 2 Punjab NCC Battalion, saw the participation of more than 1,000 cadets from various institutions.
NCC Group Commander Brig Ajay Tewari said that the examination assessed cadets on their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in military training, weapon drill, field craft, battle craft, drill, communication etc. A team of Associated NCC Officers (ANOs) ensured the smooth conduct and fair evaluation of the cadets.
Dr Suman Chopra, principal of Lyallpur Khalsa College, expressed pride in hosting the examination and commended the dedication of NCC cadets. She further said that the successful completion of the exam marks a milestone for cadets aspiring for higher opportunities in the armed forces and other sectors.
Dr Karanbir Singh, Associate NCC Officer, highlighted the role of NCC in instilling discipline, leadership and patriotism among youth. The event concluded with cadets displaying enthusiasm towards the values upheld by the NCC. Commanding officers from six battalions and Associate NCC Officers from various institutions were present on the occasion.
