As many as 14 exhibitions will be showcased at the district-level Kisan Mela and Exhibition-cum-Awareness Camp scheduled to be held in Nurmahal on November 15. In addition to farmer-led stalls, several private companies dealing in pesticides and seeds will also set up booths. A technical session-designed to resolve farmers' queries and provide expert guidance-will be held from 11:30 am to 2 pm.

Meanwhile, the Agriculture Department has launched a district-wide awareness campaign involving artistes, students and farmers to educate communities about the harmful effects of burning paddy residue and to promote sustainable alternatives.
