Talking to this correspondent, Ishita shared that she had a desire to pursue her master’s degree abroad without burdening her parents or relying on an education loan. “I spent months searching for scholarships that would fully fund my education. After extensive research, I applied for the scholarship. Following a rigorous selection process, I successfully secured the award,” she said.

Sharing details about the scholarship, she said that the mastermind scholarship is a highly sought-after programme offered by the Government of Flanders, Belgium. It is designed to attract top international students to Belgium. Only about 30 students from around the world are selected each year. Administered by the VLUHR Organisation, candidates are chosen based on academic excellence, leadership potential and their ability to meet stringent criteria set by Belgian institutions.

Ishita expressed gratitude to Saurabh Bassi, owner of an IELTS institute in SBS Nagar, for his guidance throughout the process. “His support was instrumental in helping me navigate the complex application procedures for this scholarship,” she said.
